KG and the software developer Double C GmbH are presenting their jointly developed “tabtool Solar” software for tablet computers at the Intersolar trade fair in June 2014. “tabtool Solar” is an innovative mobile solution for the maintenance, inspection and repair management of PV farms.

PV-system manager greentech considers that the new tool is an important component to ensure a high level of quality in maintenance, inspection and repairs in the long term. The company has increased its current service portfolio in the field of PV to over 420 MWp and more than 100 projects in 2014. In addition to pure management tasks, greentech also offers onetime check-ups to ensure the quality and increase the income from solar electricity plants. “tabtool Solar is a logical continuation of our innovation and quality standards in the management of solar electricity plants”, says Christian Bertsch-Engel, CEO of greentech. “The new tool allows our service technicians to have all relevant information on-site at the solar farm and thus carry out repairs, maintenance tasks and inspections effectively and with consistently high quality. In addition, the mobile application is also integrated into our control console software, significantly simplifying our work processes.”

The tabtool developers consider that the greentech-developed PV-industry edition is a sequel to the successful development of the mobile application. “tabtool replaces Notepad, task cards, camera, technical data sheets and file folders full of diagrams”, explains Ulf Stabe, CEO of Double C GmbH. “We are pleased to be able to offer an industry edition for solar farms in cooperation with greentech”. tabtool Solar is particularly recommended for managers, installers and electrical companies who regularly work on PV systems.
