April 2021<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 greentech, independent expert for technical consulting and operational management of photovoltaic systems, has recently started offering a high-frequency analysis for PV systems in cooperation with the grid specialist morEnergy. The analysis involves the measurement of currents, voltages and resonances using a high sampling rate up to 150 kilohertz. This offers the possibility to identify hidden and avoidable loads on the respective system components which are connected to the internal or external grid. Due to net resonances and poorly dimensioned or damaged filters, increased supraharmonic current and voltage levels may occur. \u201cEspecially in high-performing systems, components such as filters, cables or transformers often heat up dramatically, which leads to faster ageing,\u00a0 defects in the components and ultimately a failure of the system,\u201d explains Dr.-Ing. Michael Jordan, CTO and Co-Founder of morEnergy. \u201cUp to now, the normative regulations have not dealt sufficiently with power quality effects in the super-harmonic frequency range, as they are complex and difficult to understand,\u201d the expert in measurement technology says. \u201cThis is why we developed a new type of measuring device that covers precisely this range.
