Hamburg, 02<\/em>.05.2023 \u2013\u00a0<\/em>In the neighboring Bavarian communities of Gro\u00dfheirath and Untersiemau near Coburg, two EEG-subsidized solar power plants with a cumulative output of around 15.5 MWp are going to be constructed in the coming weeks. Both power plants are not only built by greentech, but were also developed by the Hamburg-based photovoltaic company together with the locally based company Wacker PV since mid-2021. greentech also takes over O&M. With these plants, greentech\u2019s comprehensive know-how along the entire value chain, from project development and asset management to engineering, plant construction and operational management, is combined in one project for the first time. \u201cThe greentech group has grown strongly in recent years and has successively expanded its business field to include project development, plant construction and asset management. By covering all areas in the PV downstream, we can optimize cooperation at interfaces and offer all services from a single source,\u201d points out Ingo Rehmann, Managing Partner and founder of greentech.<\/p>\n Representatives from politics and the press met in Gro\u00dfheirath for the ceremonial ground-breaking event on 27th<\/sup>\u00a0of April. \u201cThis is a good day for the district of Coburg,\u201d said the Bavarian Minister of Environment Thorsten Glauber in his opening speech. \u201cWith today\u2019s groundbreaking ceremony and these plants, in effect 25 % of the district of Coburg will be supplied with energy.\u201d Melanie Huml, Bavarian Minister for European Affairs and International Affairs, emphasised the importance of the project for the region: \u201cWe need this for our economic strength. But we also need it for the population and for our prosperity. And that\u2019s why I\u2019m so grateful that we have entrepreneurs here in the region who see it the same way and are taking the lead. And that there are municipalities and also property owners who say we will join in.\u201d<\/p>\n Completion and grid connection of both plants is scheduled for July 2023. In the pipeline for construction and commissioning in 2023 are also other plants in northern Germany with a total volume of around 115 MWp.<\/p>\n
