SCADA & IT for PV, Wind, BESS, and Substations
We design, deliver, and implement the complete SCADA and IT infrastructure for your project – with in-house product solutions and the highest IT security standards.
Secure data transmission and reliable plant control
The backbone of secure and stable plant operation
Greentech’s SCADA and IT concepts form the backbone for secure, grid-compliant, and transparent plant operation: We plan and implement the integration and connection of communication and control technology in line with plant design, electrical planning, and the requirements of grid operators and direct marketers.
We ensure that operational and production data reach the relevant stakeholders in a usable form via a continuously stable internet connection and a secured VPN – including a GDPR-compliant, individual user and access concept, and remote access where required for control.
This creates a coordinated interplay of communication, metering/measurement, control, and protection – serving as a conclusive basis for required verifications such as plant certificates and conformity declarations.
SCADA & IT – tailored to your plant type
Whether it’s a ground-mounted PV or wind power plant, a battery energy storage system, or a substation – each plant type has its own requirements for communication, control, and IT security. We deliver the right solution.
Photovoltaic Systems (PV)
SCADA and IT tailored to plant design, electrical design, and requirements of grid operators and direct marketers
Wind Turbines (WTG)
In wind power plants, turbines, park control, grid operators, and direct marketers communicate in real-time – failures or delays in communication directly impact control and marketing. We plan and integrate the SCADA and IT infrastructure to match plant design, electrical design, and the requirements of all stakeholders.
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
For battery energy storage systems, it is particularly important that command chains function smoothly and communication remains continuously undisturbed. We integrate SCADA and IT to match the design, electrical design, and the requirements of grid operators and direct marketers.
Substations (SS)
If a substation is required as a transfer station for connection to the high-voltage grid, reliable control technology is crucial. Based on the SS design and the detailed design of the connected systems, we plan and deliver the SCADA and IT technology for the substation.
Planning, delivery, and implementation of SCADA and IT for the substation – coordinated with plant design, electrical design, and grid operator specifications
Our IT & SCADA concept
For PV, wind, BESS, and substation components to interact reliably, we view communication and control as an overall system. We bundle requirements from operations, direct marketing, grid operators, and EPC, translate them into a clear technical architecture, and maintain consistent interfaces, responsibilities, and documentation throughout. This results in a solution that runs stably in everyday use – and remains manageable in case of changes or disruptions.
IT concept – the network foundation of your power plant or BESS system
Router & internet connection: Design of a site-appropriate connection including redundancy options, so that the plant remains accessible even under difficult conditions.
Firewall & network segmentation: Separation of communication areas (e.g., operational management vs. video/security) and clear rules on where data goes. This reduces risks and simplifies operation and troubleshooting.
Network distribution: Structured, plant-specific design of network distribution – including redundancy where it makes sense for availability and operational safety.
Remote access & authorization concept: Defined access for operators, O&M, direct marketers, or other stakeholders – with traceable roles and permissions.
Documentation of the IT structure: Network overviews and device structure as a basis for acceptance, operation, and later adjustments.
SCADA concept – control, supervision, and data management
Our SCADA system forms the central control center for your project. It combines power plant control, system supervision, and data management into a continuous overall system, ensures grid conformity, and supports secure connection and stable power marketing.
Power plant control & interfaces: Conception of the control logic and the necessary interfaces to the grid/market – tailored to the project constellation. We also implement hybrid control concepts.
Measurement & data points (signal/data model): Definition of relevant measured values and status signals (incl. integration of sensors / weather / station signals), so that monitoring, analyses, and verifications run on a consistent data basis.
Manufacturer-independent data acquisition: Structure for how data from different components are combined and provided in a standardized way – instead of isolated solutions per manufacturer.
Availability & redundancy (where sensible): Conception of stability/redundancy aspects for critical functions to avoid downtimes and operational interruptions.
Optional security/peripheral integration: Integration of, for example, camera/security signals into the overall architecture – without overloading operational management.

IT security & regulation – know requirements, plan future-proof systems
Regulatory requirements for the IT security of energy plants are growing – and now affect far more operators than just a few years ago.
Since 2017, power generation plants with a net rated output of 104 MW or more have been classified as Critical Infrastructure (CI). Since then, operators must maintain an Information Security Management System (ISMS), report IT disruptions, and demonstrate comprehensive security measures.
Since December 2025, the German NIS-2 Implementation Act significantly expands this scope: energy companies with 50 or more employees or an annual turnover of €10 million can now be obligated – regardless of installed capacity. A new aspect is the personal liability of management for violations.
In parallel, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA, in force since December 2024, mandatory from December 2027) demands “Security by Design” at the product level: manufacturers of networked components – routers, power plant controllers, SCADA hardware – must demonstrate cybersecurity from the ground up and ensure it throughout the entire product lifecycle.
We plan IT and SCADA systems to meet these requirements today – or to be scalable for them if needed. Specifically, this means:
- Network segmentation according to IEC 62443 – clear separation of communication areas, e.g., SCADA from CCTV or service access
- Encrypted communication & certificate-based authentication – no unsecured access to plant systems
- Traceable authorization concepts – documented access rights for all user groups
- GDPR-compliant data storage – servers located in Germany, encrypted backups
- Complete documentation and evidence – for regulatory requirements, audits, and verification processes
- CRA-compliant components – we exclusively use hardware and software that meet the requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act

greentech product solutions for IT and SCADA infrastructure
Our in-house, proven solutions are coordinated – for continuous plant communication from the IT base to control. Depending on the project, we also integrate individual components into existing structures.
greenCOM - Communication cabinet
greenCOM is the physical hub of plant communication: Data and control signals converge here in an organized manner and are structured for onward transmission to the relevant systems. This creates a clear, well-documented structure in the control cabinet – so that operations and service can quickly find what they need. Project-specific pre-integration ensures consistent system architecture and traceability even with expansions or adjustments.
greenACCESS – Secure remote access
greenACCESS stands for secure remote access to the power plant network – typically via a protected VPN connection, allowing authorized stakeholders to view data and intervene specifically if necessary. This transforms a mere internet connection into an authorization-based, protected remote access for operations, service, and partners. It facilitates collaboration and fault resolution without diluting the plant’s security logic.
greenSIM – Provider-independent mobile connectivity
greenSIM is the component for the most continuously stable mobile data connection possible – especially at locations with fluctuating network quality. The SIM card is provider-independent and uses the strongest available mobile network, ensuring the plant remains communicable. This allows operational data to be transmitted reliably and remote services to remain accessible.
greenCORE – Power plant control & data management via our power plant controllers
The greenCORE PPC (power plant controller) is the heart of the SCADA system: It combines power plant control with a central data logger for precise feed-in. Grid and marketing specifications can be implemented on a project-specific basis, and operational data can be provided consistently – for PV, wind, BESS, or hybrid plants. Authorized partners can access relevant data via defined interfaces.
The greenCORE DM is responsible for data acquisition: It integrates sensors, weather stations, as well as station and substation signals, records all measured values, and provides them in a manufacturer-independent and standardized manner. This ensures that data acquisition is independent of the chosen inverter data logger, and all relevant data points are fully mapped from the outset.
