greentech expands service portfolio with co-location analysis

Jun 4, 2026

Hamburg, 04 June 2026 – Pure photovoltaic projects are increasingly subject to economic pressure. Adding a battery storage system can be a decisive lever to restore a project’s economic viability. With a new service product, greentech takes a close individual look at planned or existing PV projects and examines the parameters under which BESS integration makes sense.

Specifically, the co-location analysis involves a project-specific review of the grid-related, regulatory and technical surrounding conditions for expanding an existing or planned PV system with a battery storage system. greentech evaluates several design variants, calculates economic viability in a transparent and comprehensible manner, and derives a clear recommendation for the next steps.

“With this product, we combine our expertise as a project developer and provider of various engineering services along the PV and BESS value chain in an ideal way. We started by evaluating our own projects and then decided to offer the service to clients as well, which has been very well received,” says Jörn Carstensen, Chief Technical Officer at greentech.
